Annual Conference
Our annual conference takes place on Thursday 16 November 2017 at 8am. Please see attached invitation with details of registration for the event.

Madeleine Abas is a partner in specialist UK health and safety law firm OsborneAbasHunt www.oahlaw.com and will give us the benefit of her extensive experience in managing corporate manslaughter and other serious health and safety prosecutions in England and Wales. Madeleine has been actively involved for years with our equivalent organisation in the UK, HSLA. Ronan Kennedy BL is a practising barrister with extensive experience in advising on and defending health and safety prosecutions, having acted for the defendant in the landmark decision of the Court of Criminal Appeal in DPP v PJ Carey (Contractors) Limited [2012] 1 I.R. 234. Ronan will give an update on recent developments in health and safety law.
Time: 8:00am to 9:30am with Q&A (Breakfast from 7:30am)

AGM
The AGM of HSLAI will be held at the end of the annual conference and we hope that the majority of members can attend. Our chairperson, Finola McCarthy, will provide a short annual report and we will review the committee numbers in the Constitution.
